Lauren Crooke
Founder and CEO
Lauren Crooke is Perth’s most notable and established boudoir photographer, and the owner and director of Crooked Images. Lauren is known for her signature craft that combines her unique perspective of the female form and artistic composition through the female lens.
In the studio, Lauren encourages clients to reclaim their bodies, and their rights to choose what they want to do with their bodies and how they want to be represented. With strength and art as the foundation Crooked’s signature look, Lauren built the business with transformative body image experiences as the catalyst for clients booking a shoot.

Crooke’s photography style was largely inspired by the depiction of women in Western art, with the #metoo movement as the catalyst; using art as her vessel for change, Lauren aims to break through the barrier of the long dominating ‘male gaze’ in her Nudescape shoots, showing the viewer how women deserve to be seen and represented and allowing women to see themselves like they never have before.

Taylah Nekoranec
Head Photographer / Studio Manager
Meet Taylah, a talented boudoir photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty of butts! Taylah started photography over 7 years ago as wedding photographer, joined Crooked three years ago and has been specialising in boudoir photography since. She absolutely loves shooting outdoors when she gets the chance.
Outside of the office, Taylah loves hanging out with her two fur babies, binge watching tv shows with her husband and runs her own wedding photography business.
Bessie Rugg
Executive Assistant
Bessie is the heart and soul of Crooked and has been working with Lauren to grow the business for most of the company’s life. Whilst Bessie has always worked strongly in the operations side of the business covering bookings management, events, enquiries, procedures, administration, marketing and studio maintenance, her role has recently moved into more focused support and management to Lauren’s nude shoots, artworks, keynote talks and speaker roles. Bessie has an exceptional skillset at dealing with key stakeholders for our large scale photoshoots, organising every shoot from start to finish, and can get a permit approved in record time with her hands tied behind her back. She is also our in-house Publicist, Lauren’s spare oxygen, and the mastermind who built our infamous Rain Room.
When not at Crooked, you can find Bessie doing backyard acro yoga with her 8 year old daughter, trying her luck as a blacksmith, reading a manual on how to completely rewiring a circuit board, or eating jerky.
Andrea Sommers
Boudoir Photographer
Andrea aka The German (as her friends call her) has been dipping her toes in all styles of photography before finally finding her passion in capturing the female body.
When not behind the camera, she can be found swinging around a pole, climbing or on her yoga mat.
Being a mum of 2 boys keeps her on her feet and she loves having an all female environment at the studio balancing out her male dominated household 😊
Priscila Ribeiro
Boudoir Photographer
Meet Priscila, but you can call her Pri, if you prefer :) She is the Brazilian girl of the team. Priscila is a family and bourdoir photographer, she studied Web Design in her country and Photography at North Metropolitan TAFE. She is passionate about photography and really believe that images can change lifes.

Sarah Crooke
Accounts
Sarah is not only Lauren’s sister (in-law but who’s counting) but is also our money lady who makes sure everyone gets paid on time. She comes with a no-fucks-given attitude that we are obsessed with and want to know her secret to not giving said fuck. Sarah has been the longest standing member at Crooked and we have lost count of how many years and months we are at, but we are keeping her for as long as possible as she is also our stand in bodyguard. Yes, that’s right, don’t mess with us (especially on the 2 days a week Sarah is in) for we have a martial arts instructor and 3rd degree black belt who recently came back with a Bronze Medal at a world championship fight in England. She is ready to make the patriarchy tap out at a moments notice.
Janie Elizabeth
Operations Coordinator
Janie is our friendly behind the scenes whiz taking care of boudie chats, scheduling and socials. Janie has a background in hospitality, managing holiday parks and large scale events. Janie is also an artist, support worker, mental health advocate and advocate for animal welfare, fostering over 100 animals.
