At its core, community can mean a group of like-minded people, but finding it takes representation, visibility, and accessible connection.
Sheridan grew up in a small country town where standing out always invited commentary, so she learned early how to keep things contained. This darling spent her youth struggling to find her identity. Because the only representation she had of what women should look like, she was severely dissatisfied with herself, constantly trying to appease the intrusive thoughts about her body. At work, she’s often underestimated. Blonde, white, behind a computer, quickly assigned a role that doesn’t fit. It usually sorts itself out once she’s backing a trailer or hopping on a forklift without blinking (that’s our girl!!).
Now, she marks her 30’s with things feeling clearer. More human. She stays active because she enjoys it, not because she’s chasing a finish line. She’s found her people. The kind who celebrate curiosity instead of questioning it. Exploring her sexuality has brought a softness and lightness to her that feels very her, and very settled. There’s no rush to define anything. Just space to enjoy where she is. Coming to do a shoot was a way of validating her new found assurement of herself (spoiler alert, it did).
Sheridan has such a cool head, she’s measured and subtle and as sweet as they come, but also has so much going on underneath (by all means, if you get the chance, give her everything you’ve got), and we like where she’s headed. There's a sense about her that this part of her life is opening up in a way that feels right.
And honestly, it suits her.
